Rail engineering works summer

Summer 2027: Bane NOR works on several sections of the railway from Saturday 26 June to Wednesday 4 August. Here you can find information about how this will affect train services.

Where Bane NOR is working in summer 2027

  • Oslo S–Lillestrøm (applies to line L1 only): From 26 June to 15 July.
  • Tønsberg–Skien: From 3 July to 7 July.
  • Oslo S: From 17 July to 3 August, Oslo S will be closed to train traffic. During this period, trains cannot operate to Oslo S and will instead terminate and turn around at the nearest station: Skøyen, Grefsen, Bryn, Lillestrøm, Holmlia and Ski.
  • Nittedal–Roa: From 7 August to 2 September (during the first four days, the section between Nittedal and Gjøvik will also be closed).

Rail replacement bus service

On the sections affected by the works, we run rail replacement buses or refer you to Ruter’s buses. The stops are clearly marked with yellow rail replacement bus signs. At the larger stations, you will also find customer hosts who will help you find the right bus.

Please note that buses may take a little longer than the train and may therefore have different departure and arrival times. You will find information about timetables and stops in the journey planner in the Vy app and on vy.no. Remember to buy your ticket before boarding.

Important information about alternative transport

Check the timetable before you travel

Use the journey planner in the Vy app or at vy.no. Please note that rail replacement buses may depart earlier than the trains they replace. Don’t forget to check where your bus will depart from and arrive.

Allow extra time and have your ticket ready

Please allow approximately 30-60 minutes’ extra time for your journey. The buses generally take longer than the trains, and it also takes time to transfer between trains and buses. Remember to buy your tickets before boarding.
