Cheaper monthly tickets in Oslo and Akershus from 1 November
From 1 November, Ruter’s 30-day ticket will be cheaper. You can buy the ticket in the Vy app
If you travel by train, bus, tram or metro in Oslo, a monthly ticket will cost just NOK 495 for an adult from 1 November. Children and young people can travel throughout Oslo and Akershus for NOK 199. Adults travelling in Akershus will also pay a significantly reduced price for a monthly ticket.
The price reduction applies to 30-day tickets, also known as monthly tickets. Other ticket types will remain at their current prices.
The new monthly ticket prices
- If you are an adult travelling in zone 1, the monthly ticket will be NOK 160 cheaper. The new price is NOK 495.
- For one zone in Akershus, the monthly ticket will also be NOK 160 cheaper. The new price is NOK 759.
- Monthly tickets for two and three zones will be NOK 320 and NOK 480 cheaper respectively.
- Students will pay NOK 100 less for one zone, NOK 200 less for two zones and NOK 300 less for three zones.
- Children and young people will pay NOK 39 less. The monthly ticket costs NOK 199 and is valid throughout Ruter’s area, regardless of how many zones you travel through. Read more at ruter.no.
- Senior passengers will pay NOK 47 less for one zone, NOK 94 less for two zones and NOK 140 less for three zones.
Buy your monthly ticket in the Vy app
If you travel by train in Oslo and Akershus, you can easily buy Ruter’s monthly ticket in the Vy app. At the same time, you can set up regular notifications for trains you often travel on.
