Works on the Follo Line during 2024

Bane NOR announces that the work to replace the streamlines and adjust the gauge in the Blixtunnelen on the Follo Line has now been completed. And from 15 December 2024, traffic will resume as normal in both tunnel runs in the Blixtunnelen.

Bane NOR has been working in one tunnel run at a time since 15 April 2024, while the other tunnel run has been open to train traffic, in order to create as few consequences as possible for travelers.

Travelers can now use the direct trains in both directions between Oslo S and Ski. You can find the details for your trip in the travel search in the Vy app or at vy.no.

Why was it closed?

Bane NOR had to replace the power lines that supply the trains with electricity in the tunnel on the Follo Line.
