Lost or forgotten something?
It’s easy to leave your belongings on the train or bus. Find out what you can do and how to contact us about lost property.
Left something on the train or at the train station?
If you see a listing that matches what you have lost, you can claim the item. We will process your information and confirm whether the property is yours or not.
If you do not see anything that matches what you have lost, you can either search the register again at a later date or create a new listing in the system. You will then be contacted if your property is found.
What happens to the lost and found items?
Items that are brought to the lost property office are stored for one month. The exception is perishable items, mainly food, which we cannot store. Everything brought to one of our lost property offices is recorded in a database. Valuables such as passports and wallets are handed over to the police after a period of two weeks. PCs and other electronics are destroyed after one month.
Unless someone submits a lost item report or files a claim related to an item, it will be donated to charities (only applicable to lost property from trains).
Please note that it can take up to seven days for lost property to arrive at the lost and found offices.
