Oslo Central Station closed on 10 October 2026

Published 2 October 2026 at 12:59

From Saturday 10 October at 02:00 until Sunday 11 October at 03:00, Bane NOR will close Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) for maintenance work. This means that no trains will run to or from central Oslo.

Saturday 10 October, Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) will be closed. Closing Norway’s largest transport hub for an entire day requires careful planning, but don’t worry, buses will be ready to take you where you need to go.

Trains will still be able to stop at and depart from stations outside Oslo S, including Skøyen, Bryn, Ski, Grefsen and Nittedal. On some routes, we refer passengers to Ruter’s services.

Check the journey planner before every trip

The journey planner is updated continuously and shows which departures are operating. It is therefore especially important to check the journey planner before every trip.

Important information about alternative transport

Check timetables before travelling

Use the journey planner in the Vy app or on vy.no. Please note that rail replacement buses may depart earlier than trains usually do. Also check where your bus departs from and arrives.

Allow extra time and have your ticket ready

Allow around 30–60 minutes of extra travel time. Buses usually take longer than trains, and changing between train and bus also takes time. Remember to buy your ticket before boarding.
