From October 1, 2024, train travel is much cheaper for both children and students.
With a 75% discount on single tickets for children on many longer train routes throughout the country, it is now cheaper to travel green for the whole family.
For students with valid proof, there is an increase in the discount on both single tickets and period tickets. From the previous 25 percent to 50 percent.
That means more money for books and other important (and less important) things.
Where does the discount apply?
The discounts apply to regional and long-distance trains on all routes that are not covered by already existing route, fare and ticket cooperation where you travel by train at county prices.
Popular routes are now much cheaper, such as:
- Bergen–Geilo
- Bergen–Oslo
- Bergen–Voss (single ticket)
- Kristiansand–Oslo
- Oslo–Skien
- Oslo–Bø
- Oslo–Tønsberg
- Oslo–Trondheim
The discounts will not apply to travel within the zones of Ruter, Skyss, ATB, and Kolombus.
