Can I bring pets on the bus?

For the sake of fellow passengers, we cannot carry animals on board. We do not have separate transport holds suitable for animals, and the needs of our other passengers must therefore take priority.

Exceptions:

Animals must be carried in approved travel carriers. Tickets for animals cannot be bought online; they must be bought from the driver when boarding.

Travelling with animals to/from Sweden

Please note that if you are travelling to or from Sweden with animals in your care, it is important that you thoroughly familiarize yourself with customs rules and regulations ahead of your journey so that your pet will not be quarantined.

Dogs must have:

  • a microchip implant with an unique ID-number
  • a designated passport, which states the microchip ID-number
  • documentation demonstrating that the dog has received preventative treatment against the cyclophyllid tapeworm Echinococcus multilocularis, mainly found in foxes.

Such ‘fox tapeworm’ treatment must have been administered by a veterinarian, no later than 24 hours prior to crossing the border into Norway. The veterinarian must certify the treatment in the dog’s passport.
