Will my child get a car seat if our train is replaced by bus service?
All buses that operate for us are registered after 15 September, 2012, which means that they are not required to have their own safety equipment for children under 3 years of age. Children over 3 years of age must use ordinary seat belts in an appropriate manner.
We recommend that you bring your own child safety equipment. If that’s not possible, please speak to a customer service representative at the station who can check whether the bus you are taking has child seats available. If it does not, we’ll order a taxi with appropriate child safety equipment—but please note that it might take some time to arrange.
See the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for more details on securing children on buses.External link
For travel with Ruter, Skyss, SJ, GoAhead and other transport companies, their travel conditions apply. And in Sweden, other rules apply to securing children on buses.
