Discover Drammen: Three things to do
The old timber and industrial town of Drammen has experienced rapid urban development and now offers a dedicated chocolate bar, beautiful lunches and wonderful walks. Discover a part of Drammen.

Delicious lunch at Hos Solveig
They also serve alcohol and have a wide range of beers, wines and other drinks available (NOK 65-155).

Criollo chocolate bar
They also sell handmade chocolate bars with 60-80% cocoa in several different flavours, including aniseed, liquorice and fennel, cinnamon, vanilla and orange habanero (NOK 95).
Criollo Chocolate Bar serves all types of coffee, from regular filter coffee to macchiatos and cortados. If you enjoy caffè latte, you will find a number of syrups to add. They make the syrups themselves and options include ginger, chilli, liquorice and cardamom.
We tried the cardamom syrup in our latte (NOK 63) and it was rich and sweet, perhaps a bit too sweet when paired with the mocha cake (NOK 69) we also ordered. The cake had three layers of coffee and chocolate and was flavourful, rich and delicious. We also gave into temptation and bought a piece of “Criollo Special” chocolate (NOK 29). You can buy individual pieces of chocolate or a box to take away.
River promenade: take a walk along Drammenselva
You can walk along the Drammenselva river on the beautiful river promenade that starts at Bragernes Square in the centre of Drammen. The full route is around 10 kilometres but you can make it shorter if you prefer.
The promenade is broad and accessible for prams, bicycles and walkers, as well as other aids for people with disabilities. There are several statues, sculptures that double as seating and exercise equipment that can be used for free along the route.
Treat yourself to something delicious to eat or drink, find a cosy place to sit and enjoy the views across Drammenselva.
Have a great trip! 💚
