Join Magnus on the rail holiday of a lifetime this summer

When the family went off for a beach holiday abroad and the dog, Magnus, had to stay behind at a kennel, we decided to surprise him with an adventure of his own. He got to join us on a train journey and experience all the beauty and fun that summer in Norway has to offer. Come along with Magnus on the train and get inspired to take a trip to the mountains, the coast, and the city.

    Get to know Magnus a little better

    • Magnus is 6 years old and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (toller) by breed.
    • The filming was done with a real family. Only the mother knew that Magnus wasn’t actually going to a kennel, in order to capture the most authentic reactions possible.
    • On set, Magnus had his own dog handler who ensured he was well looked after throughout the entire shoot.
    • The toller is a medium-sized, active and intelligent dog originating from Canada, originally bred to lure and retrieve ducks.
    • Fun fact: True to his star status, Magnus demanded patience, his own breaks – and plenty of liver pâté on set. After four days of filming, countless mini tins of liver pâté, and close supervision from a dog trainer, Magnus was returned to the family a bit more obedient – but just as charming as ever.
