Rail replacement buses on the Gjøvik Line

From Tuesday 15 September until Friday 18 September inclusive, train services between Oslo S and Roa are suspended.

• Between Oslo S and the stations Nittedal–Roa, rail replacement buses will operate. Please note that the buses depart earlier from Oslo S so that the train can run on schedule from Roa. The buses will wait at Roa until the train has arrived.
• For passengers travelling from Movatn and Snippen towards Oslo, a minibus service will operate between Movatn, Snippen, Kjelsås and Nydalen, where you can transfer to the Metro. Your ticket is valid on Ruter's Metro services. Passengers travelling from Movatn and Snippen towards Gjøvik must order a taxi from the station.
• If you are travelling between Oslo S and Kjelsås, Nydalen, Grefsen or Tøyen, please use Ruter services. Your ticket is valid on Ruter's transport services on this section of the journey.

Please note: Unfortunately, it will not be possible to bring bicycles on the rail replacement buses during this period. You can find all the details about your journey in the journey planner here and in the Vy app.

Why is the line closed?

Bane NOR needs to keep the Oslo S–Roa line closed for a few more days. The line, which was scheduled to reopen last Saturday after two weeks of rail replacement buses, has therefore been delayed.

Safety always comes first, and Bane NOR must keep the line closed until it is safe to operate trains and the system gives the green light.
