How do I check that it was the meter price (not the maximum price) that was charged to my account?
The app will display a maximum price from the taxi company. We will place a hold on this amount in your account when you confirm the booking. Once the trip is complete, whichever of the maximum price or the final meter price is lower will be deducted from your account.
Example: If the maximum price was NOK 300 and the meter price was NOK 280, it will say that NOK 300 has been placed on hold in Vipps. The transaction status will be ‘Reserved’. Under ‘Transactions’ further down in the detailed view for the trip in question, it will say NOK -280 in red. This means that NOK 280 is the amount charged, while the remaining sum will be released back into your account. Vipps is working to make it clearer that the status in this case is ‘Paid’ instead of ‘Reserved’.
You can also check via your online banking that it was the meter price you were charged. It may take a few days for the transaction to be processed by your bank.
