New login solution on vy.no and in the Vy app
We’re switching to a new and more secure login solution, and to keep access to your profile, you only need to do one thing: log in again before 1 October.

What happens if I don’t log in again?
You’ll automatically be logged out of the app and vy.no on 1 October. Your profile, tickets, and information won’t be deleted, but you’ll need to log in before you can use the services again.
Improved password security
To help keep your account secure, we have introduced new password requirements for users who log in with their email address. Your current password will continue to work if it
- is at least 8 characters long
- contains at least one number and one special character
- contains a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters
If your password does not meet these requirements, you will be prompted to create a new one. If you log in using Vipps, Google or Apple, you do not need to worry about passwords.
New: more ways to log in
In addition to email and Vipps, you can now also use Google or Apple. But remember that your Vy profile is linked to your email address.
- If you log in with Vipps, Google, or Apple, you'll be logged in with the email address linked to that account.
- If that email address is different from the one you’ve used with Vy, a new, empty profile will be created.
- If you log in with the wrong email address, simply log out and log back in with the correct address.
Please note: Apple’s ‘Hide My Email’ gives you a unique email address that most likely isn’t linked to your existing Vy profile.
Check that you have access to your email address
If you’re logged out on 1 October and you have forgotten your password, we’ll send the password reset instructions (after you click ‘Forgot password’) to the email address registered in your Vy profile. If you no longer have access to it, you should change the address now, while you're logged in.
Frequently asked questions
We've switched to a new and more secure login solution. As a result, everyone will need to log in again, once.
At the same time we are introducing more ways to log in. In addition to email and Vipps, you can now also use Google or Apple.
No, you won't lose anything. Your tickets, notifications and memberships will still be linked to your profile. The only thing you need to do is log in again.
You've most likely logged in with a different email address from the one linked to your Vy profile. This can happen if you choose to log in with Vipps, Google or Apple, as you'll be logged in using the email address associated with that account.
Simply log out and log in again using the email address you've previously used with Vy. Your tickets and account information should then appear as normal.
Yes. Your Vy profile is linked to your email address. When you log in with Google or Apple, the email address associated with that account is used.
Please make sure it's the same email address you use for your Vy profile. If the email addresses are different, a new profile will be created without your existing tickets or account history. The same applies when logging in with Vipps.
If you choose ‘Hide My Email’, Apple creates a unique, anonymous email address that forwards messages to your inbox.
This address is unlikely to be the same one linked to your existing Vy profile. If that's the case, you'll be logged in to a new profile that doesn't contain your tickets or account history.
Apple remembers this address, so if you log in with the same Apple account again later, you'll return to that same profile.
Yes, as long as it meets the new password requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one number
- At least one special character
- Both upper-case and lower-case letters
If your password doesn't meet these requirements, you'll need to create a new one.
We recommend updating the email address on your Vy profile as soon as possible to one you can access.
If you're logged in, you can do this directly in your profile settings. If you're logged out but still remember your password, simply log in first and then update your email address.
Unfortunately, if you no longer have access to the registered email address and you've forgotten your password, we're unable to recover your profile. In that case, you'll need to create a new one.
We therefore recommend checking the email address linked to your Vy profile before 1 October.
Yes. We're sending an email to everyone who has a Vy profile.
However, it's always important to stay alert to phishing attempts. Vy will never ask you to provide your password or payment card details through links in an email.
To be on the safe side, we recommend logging in directly through the Vy app or at vy.no.
